If you didn't like when the Edmonton Oilers switched to bright orange & dark blue jerseys last season then you will be happy about their new third. They will bring back their royal blue home jersey (adjusted to the Adidas template of course) from 2017 (and from most of the 1980's & 90's) as a throwback that they will wear four times this season. The four teams they will play are all four of the Oilers' former Smythe division rivals: Kings, Flames, Jets, Canucks.
This is their third jersey schedule:
Thursday, November 29, 2018 vs. Los Angeles Kings
Sunday, December 9, 2018 vs. Calgary Flames
Monday, December 31, 2018 vs. Winnipeg Jets
Thursday, March 7, 2019 vs. Vancouver Canucks
This is also the Oilers 40th anniversary season so they also unveiled their anniversary logo. It will be worn as shoulder patch on all three jerseys. In order to match the colouring of their third jersey the dark blue in the logo will switch to royal blue.
The logo features their five Stanley Cup championships as well as their 6 retired numbers (99, 17, 7, 31, 11, 9).
