Carolina Hurricanes Tease New NHL Third Jersey!

The Carolina Hurricanes released a short video teasing their new third jersey today. They will unveil the jersey on draft day which is June 22.

From the small portions of the jersey that the revealed we can conclude the following:

  • The jersey will be black (I know, we're pretty smart).

  • Despite some rumors that they may unveil a Hartford Whalers throwback jersey, it will be a new Hurricanes design instead, leaving the Whalers ideas for another time.

  • They will have the warning flag pattern on the inside-collar of the jersey.

  • The names & numbers will be white with a red outline.

  • The collar will be black with red piping.

  • They will have red piping along the shoulder yokes.

  • There will be a large red stripe that uses the same kind of shiny material that Vegas uses for the gold on their jerseys.

  • The striping on the arms and waist are very much unclear.

  • They will have their warning flag logo as a shoulder patch.

  • It looks like they will unveil a new logo for the crest of the jersey.

  • They will introduce a new wordmark which reads "CANES" that will look similar to the logo on this football. This will be placed on the helmet as a decal.

After piecing all of this together, this is our prediction for what the jersey could look like. Tell us where we are wrong and anything you caught that we missed in the comments below.
