With the NHL changing over to Adidas, there will be 12 teams (13 including the Vegas Golden Knights) who will change their uniforms! It may be anywhere from an addition of a shoulder patch to a complete makeover. We will have to wait and see! The 12 teams that will be unveiling new uniforms include the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators!
The following is the changes we already know some teams will be making: BUFFALO: Will go from navy to royal blue and remove all silver from their uniforms.
EDMONTON: Will promote their current orange third jersey to their home jersey for the 2017-18 season and will switch from royal to navy blue throughout their uniforms. MINNESOTA: Will unveil a new home jersey that will be green and will match their current aways. VEGAS: The primary colour of their uniforms will be steel grey along with a fat black, a thin gold and a thinner red stripe pattern. They will have white numbers with a gold & red double outline. Finally, I suspect that their helmets (at home) and pants will be black. Also, I suspect minor changes to the Stars and Panthers jerseys considering they both only recently unveiled new uniforms. All 31 NHL teams will unveil their new Adidas designed uniforms at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas on June 21st, 2017.
